Your weekly dose of bike updates: TVS X, 2024 KTM 390 Duke, and more!

2023 is turning out to be the most exciting year for two-wheeler enthusiasts in a long time. Exemplifying this were the number of global unveils, new launches, and scoops related to upcoming products throughout last week. However, if you were living under a rock, here’s a quick round-up of all the major bike updates.

TVS X electric scooter launch

TVS rolled out its second electric scooter, the X with a seemingly exorbitant price tag of Rs 2.49 lakh. It offers a top speed of 105kmph and a claimed battery range of 140km. The X is based on the Creon concept that was showcased in 2018 and looks like a quintessential maxi sport scooter. Ultraviolette F77 launch

Ultraviolette launched the Space Edition of its F77 electric motorcycle at Rs. 5.60 lakh. It pays tribute to India's Chandrayan 3 space odyssey and is limited to an exclusive run of 10 units. The e-motorcycle uses aerospace-grade materials in its construction such as 7075-grade aluminium, special UV-resistant paint, and an aluminium key. As for the mechanical specifications, it runs on an electric motor that delivers an output of 40.5bhp and a peak torque of 100Nm. Powering this motor is a 10kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 307km.

New Hero Glamour 125 launch

Hero MotoCorp introduced the new version of the Glamour 125 that is updated mainly in terms of features and ergonomics. Hero has equipped the bike with a digital instrument cluster and a mobile charging port now. As for the ergonomics, the company has shortened the seat height by 8mm for the rider and 17mm for the pillion. Moreover, the fuel tank is flatter and the single-piece seat is more spacious than the previous model.

2024 KTM 390 Duke, 250 Duke, and 125 Duke unveil

Surprising its fans across the globe, KTM took the wraps off the 2024 models of the 390 Duke, 250 Duke, and the 125 Duke. All three bikes have received their biggest upgrade since their inception. The design is all new, the feature list is more comprehensive, and the overall hardware package has been revised to make these bikes more fun and engaging to ride. Interestingly, KTM has also bumped up the displacement of the 390 Duke from the previous 373cc to 399cc.

TVS Apache RTR 310 bookings open

After releasing multiple teasers of the upcoming Apache RTR 310, TVS announced that the bookings for the motorcycle have commenced in India. While the brand hasn't officially revealed the booking cost, it should be between Rs. 5,000-10,000. The Apache RTR310 will be the naked sibling of the RR310 fully-faired offering. While the hardware might remain majorly the same, TVS seems to have tweaked the styling, features, and ergonomics offered by the upcoming naked version.
